We are sorry to announce the passing of Dr Hilary Firestone. Dr Firestone graduated from Birmingham in 1980. She started working at Manchester Dental School in 1985 as a Restorative tutor. She also worked in general practice and as an expert witness. She was passionate about teaching and she was the favourite tutor of hundreds … Dr Hilary Firestone RIP.
Manchester Dental Student Society have been busy recently, organising their annual undergraduate trade fair, which saw a massive turnout from across all years, one to five. We are saddened to announce the passing of Mark Hunter. Mark was a clinical tutor and specialist Dentist at UDHM for over 20 years. He was an outstanding endodontist and a previous President of the British Endodontic Society. Mark will be deeply missed by all of his friends and colleagues in Manchester.
The Somanda BGM held on 7th October at the Hyatt Regency in Manchester was a great success.
