Trade fair sees impressive turnout

Manchester Dental Student Society have been busy recently, organising their annual undergraduate trade fair, which saw a massive turnout from across all years, one to five. Our students were able to network with dental professionals and gain a wider understanding of companies outside The Dental School, whilst also enjoying many of the freebies offered. RIP Mark Hunter

We are saddened to announce the passing of Mark Hunter. Mark was a clinical tutor and specialist Dentist at UDHM for over 20 years.  He was an outstanding endodontist and a previous President of the British Endodontic Society.  Mark will be deeply missed by all of his friends and colleagues in Manchester. 

Biennial general meeting brings alumnae back together post-Covid

The Somanda BGM held on 7th October at the Hyatt Regency in Manchester was a great success. It was an excellent opportunity for alumnae to meet up, especially as this was the first face to face event Somanda had been able to hold following Covid. In October 2021, 10 graduates and their partners met for the Covid rescheduled ’45 years since graduation’ reunion. We met up for a weekend in The Abbey Hotel, Great Malvern. The venue is very conveniently situated in the middle of town. We were also blessed with fine weather. Friday evening was very informal with us meeting up Year of 75 reunion
