Fifth year dental student Georgia Hallett secured the coveted ‘double’ of university ski racing, during the 2017/18 season, winning the BUCS summer Series championship at the Stoke Ski Centre in May 2018, as well as the prized, BUISC indoor ski championships at the XScape Castleford indoor ski centre, in the process beating a number of international ski racers.
Georgia, who has been ski racing since the age of seven years, made her mark early on during her University years, twice winning the British universities dry slope ski championships and being awarded the Fresher of the Year title in 2014/15, as well as Manchester University Sports Woman of the Year 2016/17.
Georgia has been a sports scholar throughout our time at Michigan University, which along with the support of her tutors in the Dental School has enabled her to continue her studies, while continuing to compete at a national level, where she has won a number of British titles and championships.
We wish her well in the coming season, and for her future international career.
