Ann-Marie Denny, Dean of the School has endorsed the new digital face of Somanda as we launch – this is what she had to say:
“”I’m so pleased to see the launch of the SOMANDA website.
SOMANDA are such a valuable source of support for our undergraduate students through the travel funds, hardship funds and annual student awards that they offer.
It’s hoped that by going digital we will be able to reach more students, staff and alumni. Clearly 2020 has been a difficult year so far. We were delighted to see our final year students graduate this year under very difficult circumstance but recognise, as a profession, dentistry faces many challenges.
I hope the web site will continue to provide an opportunity for shared stories and offers of support for all members of SOMANDA – it’s certainly a time for pulling together and learning from each other’s experiences. I wish it every success”
